Over time, and depending on the gravity, forehead skin loses its elasticity and loosens, lines are highlighted and deepened. This surgery is performed in order to remove horizontal creases between the eyebrows and hairline and the vertical lines between the eyebrows and to bring eyebrows to their anatomic location.
In classic techniques, the incisions will be 5-6 cm behind the hairline so they are not visible already. In the endoscopic forehead lift, incision will be littler. Thus, when compared with other techniques, this technique leaves very little incision.
Surgery is performed under general anesthesia and it takes between 2-4 hours. After surgery one night hospitalization may be required. Patients will be followed by dressing up for 5-6 days. Healing of swelling and bruising varies from person to the person but it takes approximately 15-30 days. Patients can back to their desk jobs after one week. Washing hair is allowed after 3-4 days.
